About GreenSLO
The guest house is called Family Guesthouse GreenSLO because it is a family business and we love to host families. GreenSLO is literally green Slovenia. The country is really very green and clean. Whoever was there knows 😊.
Like at home
Detached house with yard. Lots of evergreens in the yard. Parking. There is a seating area and a barbecue. House 4 floors. The house feels not like a hotel, but like home. There are a lot of indoor plants in all rooms. We always ensure cleanliness and order, as we are always nearby.
Semi-basement: lives a hospitable family who runs the business (we 😊). And also cozy economy apartments. Small, but quite enough for a family of 4 or two.
First floor: Hostel. One common room with 5 beds (shared sleeping area). Just for 5! since for a hostel this is quite small. And also two private rooms (economy, no frills) with 4 beds each. On the floor there is a shared kitchen, three toilets and two showers.
Second floor: “Family” there is a corner for toys. Three private rooms for 4 people with a small design and some amenities (for example, a table, armchairs, etc.). And one small single room. On the floor there is a shared kitchen with dining area, balcony, toilet and shower (the second floor can use the showers and toilet on the first floor).
Third floor: Two apartments. Comfortable apartment with two bedrooms and a balcony. There are also studio apartments for 4 people.
You're not overpaying
Since we do not make large changes or investments, and also manage everything ourselves (without hired employees and much of it is automated), we can offer a competitive price. Prices are always adjusted based on market prices.
Parking
In a European city it is not always possible to find free parking. Since we are on a dead-end street, we have two options to park a car. Or in the yard for free (limited number of cars, no prior reservation). Or on the street right in front of the house. From 7 am to 7 pm on weekdays there is a charge of 0.50 euros per hour.
Come at night
Since many people come from far away, it is difficult to plan their arrival exactly on time. But do not worry. We have a self-check-in, and guests can arrive any time after 2:00 PM. Guests receive all the necessary information for check-in in advance. Upon arrival, they have a room number and a code for the front door. And if you do not receive the information, then before entering it is easy to connect to Wi-Fi and get it by registering with a QR code. We also ask all guests to keep noise down after 10:00 PM.
There is a kitchen
It is very convenient and economical. You can buy food at the nearest store (400 meters) and cook yourself the same food as at home. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking, as well as a comfortable dining area. Many people really like it. In the kitchen you can meet and talk with other guests. Each apartment also has its own private kitchen.
Everything for families with children
Families with children travel a lot. Sometimes it is difficult to find a place where to stay with children, since not everyone accepts very young guests. On the contrary, we have everything for such guests, tables for children, cribs, and many toys. There is no charge for children under 5 years old. Families can have dinner or lunch in the kitchen, children can play with toys in the common room or jump on the trampoline outside.
Easy check-in and check-out
We do everything to make our guests comfortable. Don't waste time at the reception desk, we don't have one. Don't waste time when checking out, just leave your keys and don't forget your things. All the necessary information is on your phone or on the wall in your room. Guests can check in any time from 14:00 and check out any time before 11:00.
Convenient location
The guest house is located 30 min walk to the center of Ljubljana. 400 meters to the store and bus stop. Nearby there is parking for city bicycles (cost 3 euros per year!), car sharing. It’s also always very quiet here, since we are located on a dead-end street.
